Fleurimont introduces park-to-park connection route

-

active route connects the Alfred-demers, Coeur-immaculé-de-marie, Jean-claudequirion, Philippe-desranleau, Émeryfortier, Dolor-biron, Édouard-boudreau, and the De la Montée School’s Leber Pavilion, all located in the Marie-rivier district.

"We strongly believe that this new route will quickly become a must for the entire population,” said Fleurimont borough President Louisda Brochu. “This is a community project.”

Already, the Sercovie seniors’ organization has indicated its intention to use the new route by offering walking activities supervised by a kinesiologist and by making it known to its Walking Club. For its part, Loisirs Fleuri-est will use the course through the Victoria Park Walking Club or by the cardio-tonus activity. Children who participate in the various day camps will also be introduced to this new concept.

"It is the intention of the project managers to keep in touch regularly with users, in order to obtain their comments and to draw up a qualitative and quantitative portrait. This will allow us to improve the service for our citizens," Brochu said.
