The 15th edition of the shaved heads challenge also reached a record with more than $9,000 brought in. With exceptional results, the top three teams: Les Blanchards ($8,385), Les Éveillés ($11,566) and Les Bravehearts with more than $32,600 raised. A special mention also goes out to the team from the Frontalière Racing Club which walked more than 760 km during the night including one of its participants, Lise-anne Gagnon, who alone covered 55 km.
Since its very first edition in Quebec in 2001, the Relay for Life has amassed more than $140 million, of which more than 1.5 million came from the Relay for Life in Coaticook.
Funds raised through the Relay for Life in Coaticook will allow the CCS to:
- prevent more cancers and demand laws that protect health - to finance more research projects - to support more people affected by cancer
