Two Memphremagog schools get Quebec assistance
As the school year ends, Orford MNA Pierre Reid has confirmed in the last few days two grants to improve the environment and sports infrastructure of two schools in the Memphremagog region.
A sum of $25,000 will be allocated to the Brassard-saint-patrice primary school in Magog, in order to develop the schoolyard of the Pavilion Saint-patrice.
This project, totaling $82,783, will be completed this summer in time for the coming school year. This assistance has been granted under the "Improvement of school grounds for the school year 2016-2017” program of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
In Ayer's Cliff, Collège Servite will receive $4,000 to develop outdoor trails and an elevated tree top circuit around the private high school.
This project, which is expected to be completed this year, was selected as part of the 2017 edition of the "Active School" project.
