Double-header celebratio­ns planned in TBL

Like many municipali­ties, TBL is readying for a double header celebratio­n with the Fète nationale du Québec in TBL slated for June 24, and Canada Day on July 1. The lineup of activities is extensive for each special day and could not become possible without an enormous amount of planning, energy, and commitment from the volunteers. Each with long lists of sponsors, the organizing committees are grateful for the support that they get to be able to make each of the community events special.

With all the activities being held in the downtown core of Knowlton, don’t miss the soap box race between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., inflatable games, clowns, face painting and magicians in the park by the dam. There will be speeches, and lots of music by Harmonie Concert Band, “Musiciens de la relève, tam-tams with Christian Lord, and singer Daniel Fontaine.
