Townships vineyards eager for Open House

Vineyards in of the Eastern Townships will be taking part in an Open House July 8 and 9 on the Brome-missisquoi Wine Route in order to introduce tourists and residents to their wines and vineyards. Throughout the weekend, vintners will be available to meet people and tour their facilities. Visitors will be able to take advantage of this special event to ask questions and learn more about viticultur­e in Québec. Free tastings The vineyards participat­ing in the event will offer free tastings of some of their products to provide an opportunit­y to discover the taste of the wines produced by local winegrower­s and the weekend has been greatly anticipate­d by participat­ing winegrower­s. "It is one of the beautiful days of the year where we can exchange with people in a simple and informal way, as if our vineyards were being visited by family or friends," says Simon Naud, winemaker and owner of the La Bauge Vineyard in Brigham.
