Tap ’n’ Tell selected to perform in Stratford Festival

-

Last summer we took part in the “Tour Des Arts.” We opened our studio to the public and tried out a new show called Tap ’n’ Tell. The feedback was incredible, we sold out both nights. Everyone seemed to love the mix of true stories with our favourite tap dances. For us, this new concept was an artistic breakthrough. We provided an entertaining evening with virtually no props!

We think that part of the charm of the show was that it was presented in our studio. We could very casually point to the appropriate posters when talking about the various shows from our careers. Now the challenge is to transpose that same feeling and put it on stage. We have been spending a lot of time going through old press shots, news articles, and personal memories. We will be incorporating these images into the show by projecting them on a large screen.

As a result the show is transforming into something new and we are discovering a whole other layer to play with. The show is becoming more and more detailed with interesting memorabilia that is telling and funny. We are entering another phase of the creation of a new show.

Before heading out to Stratford in the fall, we will be presenting the latest version of Tap ’n’ Tell at Theatre Lac Brome for three nights only! Come see what we are up to, come encourage the birth our new show, help us shape the show with your reactions, so we make this show the best it could possibly be. Entertaining stories and incredible tap dancing — what more can you ask for. Hope to see you there! Playing at Theatre Lac Brome — 450-242-2270 on July 6, 7, 8 at 8 p.m. and in Stratford, Ontario for the “Springworks Festival” in October, exact dates TBD.
