QNEK Productions presents Guys and Dolls

-

QNEK Productions, the international theatre company in residence at the historic Haskell Opera House, continues a stellar 25th and final season with one of the best loved American musicals, Guys and Dolls. From the iconic score by Frank Loesser with some of your favorite songs like “Luck Be a Lady,” “Bushel and a Peck,” and “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat,” to the book filled with lovable characters by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, QNEK’S Guys and Dolls is captivating and delightful from beginning to end!

Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Good old reliable gambler Nathan Detroit finds himself in a pickle when the biggest rollers are in town and he can’t seem to find the money to secure a spot for his crap game with the authorities breathing down his neck. Meanwhile, his fiancé of 14 years, Adelaide, thinks he’s given up the game and is finally ready to settle down. Nathan turns to hotshot gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, which sets Sky off to his own adventure chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Guys and Dolls takes us on a wild ride from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, and even into the sewers of New York City with non-stop energy and some of the most memorable songs musical theatre has to offer.

You won’t want to miss this talented cast of singers and dancers from both sides of the border, featuring Brandon Alexandre, Dianne Brunelle, Grace Castle, Judy Castonguay, Logan Chaput, Allen Cubit, Mike Desjardins, Jenny Dunne, Paul Dunne, Doug Flint, Alan Franklin, Steve Gonyaw, Phil Gosselin, Dan Johnstone, Lynn Leimer Flint, Olivia Lemieux, Bianca Mackay, Ross Murray, Micaela Ortiz, Tiffany Quinn, Kirsten Raymond, Ben Ryan, Charles Schneider, Ron St. John III, Deborah Wesoja, and John Young.
