Get Active – Take the 20 Minute Challenge on July 19th

fun family-friendly event. Enjoy 20 minutes of activity and receive a free 20 Minute Challenge hat, as well as the camaraderi­e of runners and walkers across Canada. John says,“20 minutes a day of exercise can change you from a spectator to athlete…so come join the fun at the Running Room’s 20 Minute Challenge. Change your life and meet some new like-minded friends!”

Thousands have taken the 20 Minute Challenge since its inception, with 15,000 taking part last year, and many more expected do so again this month. Events are scheduled at various Running Room locations, during Run Club times, and everyone who signs on and takes part will receive a free 20 Minute Challenge run hat. The event is also free but folks are encouraged to register.

Here are 8 motivation­al activity tips to follow: 1. Walk/run/cycle to and from work 2. Go for a lunchtime walk 3. Join a team sport 4. Bring a friend to motivate each other

5. Run with your kids, or push them in a stroller 6. Bring your dog 7. Set a time goal 8. Listen to an audio book or your favorite playlist
