Man sought for sexual assault of young boy

Sherbrooke Police are looking for a man who allegedly committed a sexual assault on a young boy at Sherbrooke’s Éva-sénécal Library.

According to police, a man of about 60 years of age sexually assaulted the boy in the bathroom of the library on July 25 and police want to identify the suspect. “We are asking for help from the public to identify this man, who allegedly committed a sexual assault (touching) on a young man of minor age,” a communiqué says. “The suspect reportedly grabbed the genitals of the victim.”

The suspect has gray/white hair and stands about 5-foot-10. He was wearing smoked glasses, gray pants, and a purple long sleeve sweater. All informatio­n may be provided in confidence at 819-8215555.
