Colombian independence festival
Sherbrooke’s Parc Belvedere was host to a grand celebration of Colombian culture on Saturday afternoon, featuring live music, dancing, and sales of both traditional food and handicrafts. The annual event, which was a recognition of Colombian Independence Day on the 20th of July, was organized by Colombiestrie, an organization bringing together different parts of the local Colombian community. Thanks to the bright sunshine and the free admission, the family-friendly festival saw a strong turnout both from members of the Colombian community and those of other cultural backgrounds in the city.
