The article “History under construction in Milby” published in Friday’s Record mistakenly referred to the Hyatt one-room schoolhouse as the property of Milt and Bev Loomis personally, when it is actually the property of Patrimoine-ascot-heritage, a charitable non-profit organization of which Bev Loomis is the President.
The article also states that the organization needs to raise $14,000. That money, covering half of the original estimated cost of the construction project has already been raised, but the overall cost of the project has exceeded estimates, resulting in a greater need for fundraising.
Finally, The Record would like to clarify that although Bell Canada retirees volunteered their time to help install the framework for the new panel. The utility poles used in the contraction of that frame are not associated with the company.
The Record regrets these oversights.
