“I felt really excited and happy when I found out I had made the senior national team. Our main goal at this event will be to qualify for the world cup next year.

Since I have played at Bishop’s my game has improved a lot. I’m excited to get back with the Gaiters for the 2017-18 season. I look forward to the experience of playing against tough international players; I think that will certainly help for the fall.”

Bishop’s Head Coach Craig Norman

“This is a great opportunity for Mara. It will help her development and speaks volumes of her as a player. She is going to be playing at a world class level. The international game is known for its physicality; she is going to be playing against big, strong, skilled athletes and it’s only going to make her better. She will bring back an added dimension of focus, professionalism and learning how to prepare for elite level competition. Hopefully she will be able to pass that along to her teammates”

The Bishop’s Gaiters
