The simulation is being hosted by the Université de Sherbrooke Faculty of Law this week of August 6 to 11 ending with a simulated trial at the Palais de Justice in Sherbrooke. The trial will be argued simultaneously by 14 separate teams.
The case involves the surviving relatives of a deceased person who want to collect the insurance from policy contracted by the deceased, while the insurer refuses to honor the claim because it says that the deceased committed suicide. A preparatory meeting with the prosecutor will take place on Friday afternoon, August 11 at the Faculty of Law followed by the simulated trial on Saturday, August 12.
