We all came home to Scotstown Saw old friends once more Heard the pipes of Jeff Mccarthy Danced our hearts out on the floor
We all came home to Scotstown Told tales that were not true But they were really not too bad If you had a dram or two
We all came home to Scotstown Heard music the week-end through Like the band of Jon Macaulay’s And Mike and Kylie too
We all came home to Scotstown Saw the pipers on parade Playing “I belong to Glasgow” And “Scotland The Brave”
We all came home to Scotstown Saw our tartans proudly borne By the clans that built our village Into our precious home
We all came home to Scotstown And saw the very best The school that made us what we are So here’s to SHS
We all came home to Scotstown Saw the lofty smoke stack soar Walked down Main street one more time Heard the Salmon River roar
The ceilidh now has ended We’ve said farewell to friends But I hear the bagpipes calling Will ye no come back again.
