The opening night events, all of which are free of charge, will finish with a performance by local band Edwar 7.

The weekend of Sept.23-24 will continue with over 60 local producers offering tastings at eight different locations.

Each site will have live music and activities for all ages.

This year, the Groleau farm on Cochrane Road in Compton has joined the festival and be one of the sites on the circuit.

Giving a brief history of their farm, the Groleau's explained that they first started out in agriculture in the dairy business. With all the changes happening in the industry, they opted to get out of dairy and instead purchased a plot of land to grow fruit and vegetables. They also maintain a beef operation in place of dairy cattle.

The festival will be a feast for the senses, according to Comptonales Executive Director Sonia Quirion.

The full schedule and details about shuttles between the eight locations and tickets for the local product samples is available on the website www.comptonales.com.
