Coaticook Medical Clinic launches online appointment system

-

For more than a year, the clinic has implemented a new adapted access approach to seeing its physicians, ensuring that the clinic responds to patients' needs by facilitating access so that appointments are available within the same week or the next. This change involves enhancing the appointment system to allow patients to quickly communicate their needs so that the clinic can provide an appointment in an appropriate amount of time.

It is to this end that the web-based appointment system has been initiated. According to Maxime Perreault, assistant to the physician responsible and manager, "we have come to the conclusion that other options must be offered so patients can make their appointment more easily and without constraint. The webbased appointment will allow patients to make appointments in the comfort of their homes regardless of clinic opening hours."

This new system, reserved for patients of the clinic, ensures that patients will have access to the consultation and appointment time slots of their family physicians at all times. For minor emergencies, the opening up of these time slots will take place from 7 pm the day before; so there will be no need to wait for the opening of the waiting lines to get an appointment.

The Coaticook Medical Clinic is the only family medicine clinic in the Coaticook region and has more than 12,500 registered patients.
