Oktoberfest BMP is back!

he Brome-missisquoi-perkins Hospital Foundation announces the second edition of the fundraising event Oktoberfest BMP. This event will take place on Saturday, October 14, at the Chalet du Lac of Bromont, montagne d’expériences. The honorary presidents of this edition are Geneviève Dutil, owner and founder of LXSIM, and Dr. Philippe Demers, general surgeon at the BMP Hospital.

Outpatient Surgery Clinic The goal of the event is to raise funds to improve the infrastructure and equipment of the BMP Hospital. Last year, the Oktoberfest raised $34,500 for the upcoming relocation of the Oncology Clinic on the third floor of the Bromemissisquoi-perkins Hospital, which will be completed in early 2018. This year, the proceeds will be dedicated to the reorganization of the Outpatient Surgery Clinic. The refitting of the Outpatient Surgery Clinic, already completed for pre- and post-surgery consultations, will be continued this fall. The second phase will enable minor and endoscopic procedures and interventions, including colonoscopies, to be performed inside the rooms specifically designed for these purposes. This will free the operating rooms for surgeries requiring general anesthesia.

A community event Organized in the spirit of an authentic Oktoberfest, this BMP event will be an occasion for people to come together as a community. Again, the BMP Foundation is proud to announce that five local breweries have decided to be part of the event: À l’abordage Microbrasserie (Sutton), Auberge Sutton Brouërie (Sutton), Brasserie Dunham (Dunham), Brasseurs de West Shefford (Bromont), and Microbrasserie Le Brouemont (Bromont). Guests will enjoy a typical Bavarian meal, pretzels, and of course, traditional German music will also be part of this special evening.
