Oc­to­ber 17 - 65 mem­bers gath­ered at the Bul­wer Com­mu­nity Cen­ter.

New mem­bers Lois and Jack Garneau and Brenda Mac­don­ald were wel­comed.

Seven ta­bles of 500 were played, as well as 2 ta­bles of crib­bage, a ta­ble of Skip Bo and 2 teams of car­pet bowl­ing.

Ev­ery­one as­sem­bled for sup­per, Grace was said by Keith Vintin­ner. Another won­der­ful meal pre­pared by Peggy Grapes and helpers, con­sist­ing of cab­bage rolls, mashed pota­toes, yel­low beans, fresh beets, cae­sar salad, pick­les and rolls. Car­rot cake was served for desert. Won­der­ful meal Peggy.

Re­sults of crib­bage were: Beu­lah Turn­bull and Grayce Betts beat Gail Mac­don­ald and Keith Vint­ner by 78 points: Richard Coates beat Ed Digby by 1 point.

Re­sults of 500 were: Ladies - 1st place Pat De­coteau with 4320, 2nd place Is­abel Nel­son with 3860 and low score He­len Digby with 2160. Men - 1st place Bruce Bat­ley with 4320, 2nd place Ge­orge Peasley with 3600 and low score with Stan Brown with 3470.

Re­sults of Skip Bo were: Dar­lene Rogers won 3 games against Bev­erly Cote and Paulette.

Re­sults of car­pet bowl­ing were: Black team - Mary Lou Burns and Jean Nay­lor beat red team, Linda Coates and Doris Coates by 11 points. The black team again beat the red team, this time by 1 point.

Door prizes were won by Is­abel Nel­son, Ron Mac­don­ald, Ben Hodge, Edith West­b­room and Mary.

Peggy’s good­ies were won by Hazel Kerr, John Gill, Linda Coates and Made­lyn Betts.

Our gen­eral meet­ing will be at 3:30 p.m. on Oc­to­ber 31.
