Mansonville has two local Elementary schools within the town, the French school, Ecole du Baluchon and the English school, Mansonville Elementary. With the departure of both of last year’s school Principals, Catherine Canzani (MES) and Stephane Gevry (Le Baluchon), this year, both schools are welcoming a new Principal/director. Ecole du Baluchon School would like to introduce their new Director, Amélie Girard and MES presents, David Scott who is also Vice-principal at Massey Vanier High School in Cowansville.

Recently, members of the Missisquoi North Volunteer Centre (CABMN) staff working with youth and volunteers had the pleasure of sitting down with both principals on two separate occasions to get acquainted and to determine how the Volunteer Centre can collaborate with the schools for the maximum benefit of the children in the community and their families.

CABMN Volunteer Coordinators, Sarah Jersey (who also coordinates youth programs through the CAB) and Debbie Harding (Assistant to the Director) as well as Youth and Communications Coordinator, Eleanor Cote felt that the two local schools were in very capable hands following their exchange. Many exciting programs are being offered at the two schools and both directors are eager and ready to work with the community.

The CABMN Nutri Sante committee has already held a very successful Fall Lunch in September featuring healthy garden grown food taking the produce from garden to plate. This year the event was hosted by MES with Baluchon students and staff attending. The two schools collaborate very well and the staff team in each have a good communication and exchange system. Eleanor Cote, Amelie Girard (Ecole du Baluchon Principal), Sarah Jersey and Debbie Harding - Volunteer Centre (CABMN) staff welcome new Baluchon Director.

The Potton community joins the CABMN in welcoming the two new Principals at each of the local schools and students, families and neighbours look forward to many positive opportunities

to collaborate and grow in support of Potton’s children’s educational needs.

Welcome to Potton Amelie and David…
