Caisse Desjardins du Lac-memphremagog creates website for collective efforts
The Caisse Desjardins du Lac-memphremagog is participating in the virtual project "Espace Collective" in the hope of providing coverage and to give a boost to local projects with a social-economic mandate.
"Desjardins Collective Space" is described as an "online public square" for members of the Caisse, other citizens, organizations, and businesses in the Memphremagog MRC.
The Caisse, which is already involved in the social development of the community at different levels, hopes to give additional boost to social projects by directing them to the appropriate human, material and financial resources, via the new platform, which can be found online at www.espacecollectif.org. By registering online, users will be able to propose a project or contribute to an existing project by offering, for example, mentoring, sharing of expertise, donations of materials, loans of premises, etc.
Among the organizations already listed are Refuge Lobadanaki, Orford 3.0, and Memphré en Mouvement.
The Caisse du Lac-memphrémagog is also inviting entrepreneurs and community organizations to a "Rencontre Espace Collectif" on Dec. 5, to highlight four regional initiatives: the Centre l’élan and its ‘Notre Espace’ project; the Centre de formation en entreprise et récupération (CFER) and its ‘Adopte un vélo’ project; le Centre de santé de la Vallée Massawippi and its ‘Surveillance à distance des services de santé’ project; and the Township of Hatley project ‘Vallée Massawippi’.
The meeting will take place at the Ferme brassicole des Cantons in Orford, beginning at 5:00 pm. To reserve a place, visit www.eventbrite.ca/e/les-rencontresespace-collectif-magog-tickets40032877414
