President’s Visit to Riverside #12 of Granby

-

On November 9, 2017, a small but very happy group gathered at Foster Community Hall for our President of the Rebekah Assembly of Quebec, Sabrina Royea’s Official Visit. Never having been there we were pleasantly surprised that a small town had such a nice Hall.

After a delicious meal of Chicken ‘n’ Biscuits or shepherd’s pie, and dessert of pumpkin or delicious banana cream pie with tea or coffee we were ready for a nap - but NG Janice Gordon and members set up the room for the meeting, and called it to Order.

After all dignitaries were properly introduced and welcomed business was conducted.

Personally I received a lovely handkerchief with all edges embroidered and a beautiful butterfly pin. Many thanks I love both.

All who wished to speak expressed their thanks for the meal and a pleasure to be here. The President Sabrina brought “Greetings” from the Assembly, that board of officers and her own personal greetings. She is doing a splendid job of representing this Assembly and we are very proud of her. Sabrina explained her nephew will be getting a special operation for his legs and we all pray for the best for him. He is young and in serious condition, but appears to be a happy child and looking forward to his surgery.

He has Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease).

After all goodbyes and thanks for everything we all left for home. Submitted by Ernestine Whipple
