A foundation for the well-being of children

In the course of 2016, the Estrie Youth Center Foundation helped 6,055 young people under 17-years-old, who have often been victims of neglect and/or physical and psychological abuse. Thanks to donations received during the year, the Foundation helped children to find balance in their lives life. It finances summer programs, sports, cultural activities, and offers financial assistance to enable young people to pursue post-secondary studies, or provides them with a starter kit for setting up a first apartment. The Foundation also helps new mothers who have few resources.

"The Youth Center Foundation helped me enormously in starting a new life with my two daughters,” says Claudine, a mother who has benefitted from the Foundation’s help. ”Thanks to the Foundation, I was able to buy a washing machine and all the furniture needed to have decent rooms." In 2016, the Foundation allocated $72,201 to186 young people.
