Lennoxville Golden Agers

The first meeting of the Lennoxville Golden Agers of 2018 was held on January 16 with 43 people for the meal.

We started the year with two new cooks, Gloria Laroche and Tina Luce with David Brown helping them in the kitchen.

We were served ham, scalloped potatoes, peas and carrots, coleslaw, rolls, tea, coffee and white cake with a warmed brown sauce. The cooks supplied us with paper to give them suggestions of what we would like on the menu. Many suggestions were given. Six tables of 500 were played. Pat said Grace and thanked the cooks.

Birthdays in January: Keith Vintinner, Helen Nobes, Gwen Bayley and Jean Naylor.

Door prizes were won by Malcolm Juby, Beatrice Juby (twice), Monika Mosberger, Claudette Cyr and Elsie Moore.

The Jubys had a winning afternoon. Thanks to all those who helped make this meeting possible. Next meeting is January 30. Military Whist will be played and each player is asked to bring a prize.
