Dairy and swine research centre marks Resource Conservation Day
Tuesday, February 6 has been declared Resource Conservation Day and the Sévigny Pavilion of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada's Sherbrooke Research and Development Center (known by many as the Lennoxville Experimental Farm) will mark the day by providing farmers with the opportunity to learn about nitrogen fertilization, drainage, the Environment Quality Act, and the benefits of no-till agriculture. Another presentation will allow participants to learn more about weed control using organic management.
Lunch time will be devoted to visiting various booths for information and news about innovative practices. Finally, the Coup de coeur 2018 prize will be awarded to an outstanding producer.
Registration will take place on site at 9 a.m. and admission costs $40 including taxes and dinner; however, the meal will be guaranteed only to those who register before 11 am.
