Star d’un Soir in Sutton

-

This Saturday, February 10, citizens from Sutton, Knowlton, Mansonville, and other regions will flock to Sutton’s Salle Alec et Gérard Pelletier to attend “Star d’un Soir.” According to Lise Cameron, assistant coordinator at the Salle, this evening represents the future of this thriving cultural center, as all the proceeds from the sales will go towards budgeting the live music venue’s activities. Founded by Luce Hébert and Lise Cameron, the event “Star d’un Soir” will feature nine singers, of all ages, this year.

The idea behind the event is simple: to underscore local talent, to help amateur singers perform and enjoy themselves on stage, and to help fund the Salle’s many diverse activities, workshops, and concerts. For this year’s 11th edition, visitors are asked to come early to get their seats, given that there are only 120 places available.

Come by to listen to singers as they perform one or two of their favourite songs! You’ll be vastly entertained as singers perform folk, classical, jazz, and pop music. Some will be accompanied by the piano, the guitar, or will be singing a cappella.

The venue is located at 4C, rue Maple in Sutton. For more information on the event, call 450-538-0486 or go to the website www.salleagpelletier.com.
