The Estria Quintet’s concert season continues with presentations on Saturday, February 17 (at St. Elizabeth’s Church in North Hatley) and Sunday, February 18 (at the Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre in Sherbrooke) at 3 p.m., with a program for violin, clarinet and piano. This production will feature the talented pianist Tristan Longval-gagné, who will join the outstanding musicians Julie Garriss (violin) and Pauline Farrugia (clarinet) for a program of virtuosic works by composers Lutoslawski, Stravinsky, Prokofiev and Bartok. The Lennoxville and District Community Aid will be holding a Blood Pressure clinic on Tuesday, February 13 at 164 Queen Street, Suite #104, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre art gallery is exhibiting “Des pianos et des hommes” by Marcel Carey until April 29, 2018. After a career as a commercial photographer, Marcel Carey chose to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather and his father and become a piano tuner. Thanks to this profession, he has met many people who welcomed him into their homes and he discovered the special relationship they have with music. With this exhibit he wishes to pay tribute to them. Uplands, 9 Speid Street, Borough of Lennoxville is open Wednesday to Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lennoxville Elementary School Benefit Evening, Saturday, March 3, 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., at the A.N.A.F. Unit 318 (The Hut), 300 St. Francis, Lennoxville, featuring Black Dog. All proceeds will go towards the L.E.S. extra-curricular activities. Admission charged. All welcome.
