Successful Valentine Luncheon

-

Over eighty folks hurried to St. Anne’s Church, Richmond, on Saturday morning, February 10, to beat the anticipated snow. The Hall was decorated in a Valentine theme and guests were warmly welcomed to enjoy an Attic Treasures table or to purchase food from the Food table before sitting down to enjoy a wide variety of hot casseroles and assorted salads.

The serving was efficiently done by the many young ladies and a gentleman. A variety of pies were savoured with tea or coffee. Father Giuseppe was on hand to say Grace and help out wherever needed.

During the meal, names were drawn for four door prizes, three of which were awarded to Olive Smith, Helen Gallup and Peter Cote. Sorry, but the fourth name flew right by and no one managed to capture it, but congratulations anyway, mystery person.

A Throw had been handmade and donated by Shirley Beasley, on which a tidy sum was realized. The lucky winner was Elizabeth Mastine.

A special thanks to all those who contributed food, who helped with the serving, worked in the kitchen or aided in any way towards such a successful event and thanks to all those who came out to enjoy the ambiance.
