Carrefour jeunesseemploi de Sherbrooke helping students with job preparation

- Record Staff

Following the Quebec government's extension of the student placement pilot project, the Carrefour Jeunesse-emploi (CJE), Sherbrooke’s youth employment centre, is inviting students wishing to find a summer or part-time job to use their employment assistance services.

Until June 30 2018, students between the ages of 16 and 35 are eligible to receive personalized assistance with a guidance counsellor for resume-writing, preparing for an interview, job search strategies and other related services.

A resource center with computers and a bulletin board of job offers are available to job seekers.

Students wishing to receive support for their job search can go directly to the CJE or make an appointment by phone at 819-565-2722 or by email at cje@cjesherbrooke.qc.ca.

The goal of CJE Sherbrooke is to support and guide young adults between the ages of 16 and 35 in their social and economic integration initiatives, by accompanying them on their path to employment, toward a return to school or by raising awareness about entrepreneurship. The services and activities of the CJE aim to improve the general living conditions of young people.
