Seniors met on March 13 for an afternoon of 500 and supper.

Four tables of cards were played. Winners were: mens’ high: George Peasley, mens’ low: Stan Brown; womens’ high: Louise Peasley, womens’ low: Edith Wesbroom.

Prizes were available for most bids of 8 no trump without the joker. Winners were Merrill Grenier and Elsie Mills; each got it once, Elsie won with a draw of cards. Also for 9 hearts bid, Louise Peasley and Stan Brown each bid it once; Louise won the draw.

Merrill and Gayle Grenier joined our Club. Pleased to have them. Also pleased to have James Andrews and Georgeline Charland as guests today.

Pat announced that the Ville de Sherbrooke gave us a financial donation to our Club. A thank you was written to Mr. Charron and the Ville de Sherbrooke.

Door Prize winners were Mr. Hall, Helen Nobes (twice), George Peasley (twice), Glenda Huff.

Jean Naylor is home from the hospital and improving. Margaret Vintinner is home and pleased to be home.

Fern Mcconnell is taking orders for Easter Eggs made by St. George’s Church.

Supper was Irish Stew, pickles, homemade rolls made by Pat with ice cream and cupcakes for dessert, tea and coffee. Thanks to the cooks and all the helpers.

It was decided to have an Easter Parade at the next meeting on March 27. Keith and Glenda will be judging the bonnets. Be original! See you then.
