Sherbrooke Connection
It’s been two months since Sherbrooke Connection has been at Grace Village. Both men and women from the community and the Grace Village residents enjoyed the last month’s event. Music with Beth and friends (formerly Castaways) entertained us with their joyful music. Cheryl Coates told her story on how she became a rep for Tocara Jewelry and we did a little shopping during the break. One lady received a beautiful necklace as a give-away. After we have had our delicious snack at the break, we watched a short movie from RSVP Ministries titled “Forgiven and Freed”. It featured a real person sharing their real story of how and when God intersected their life. There was an interesting discussion afterwards.
It’s Spring and even though there’s been a slow start to nicer weather, we’re celebrating it! Never stop growing mentally and spiritually! Cathy Neville will be talking to us about the nitty-gritty of living soil and compost. The Late Bloomers will also help us celebrate with music. And there will be showers of blessings! Our speaker, Nadine Fafard will share her faith story about how even going through a flood and other storms in life, there were blessings from God!
So join us for fun and fellowship this Thursday, April 12th at Grace Village Retirement Home is at 1515, rue Pleasant View, Sherbrooke, J1M 0C6. We start at 9:30 until 11 a.m.
For those from the community, there is a $7. entrance fee for all the fun, food and fellowship. I know that by the end of the morning, you’ll feel inspired and that you’ve invested in time well spent. Guests from the community who will be coming to the event will be asked to park in the back and use the back entrance. In the event of not enough parking, there may be room in the front of the building. Please bring inside shoes or slippers as boots will be left at the hallway with your coats.
