Ladies Auxiliary Branch #15 Richmond Legion held Military Whist

On the evening of April 26, we had players at 15 tables. After words of welcome and a few announceme­nts, play was under way.

In no time, all the plays were finished and it was time for the lunch and the giving out of the prizes.

First place, with 29 flags, was won by Elizabeth and Raymond Mastine, Jim Stevens and Thelma Day. Second prize, two tables won, with 27 flags, went to Ian and Shirley Smith and Judy and Francis Saffin, and Debbie Knowles, Allie Vanderwal, Joyce Mastine and Carol Nixon. Low score, with 14 flags, went to Ghyslaine Redburn, Patsy Biggs, Collette Pageau and Raymond Fortier.

Door prizes were won by Norma Murray, Raymond Fortier, Elizabeth Mastine, Shirley Smith, Darlene Beaudet, Annie Day, Donna Ham, Andrea Blouin, Linda Badger, Willie Leblond, Evelyn Fraser, Bev Jones, Joyce Mastine, Marie Cassidy, Wendy Ridley, Freda Coote, Fran Dewar, Bob Dunn, Noel Gregoire, Ian Smith, Robert Pellitier, Matty Banfill, Thelma Day, Marie-paul Pariseau, Vera Hughes, Gerald Skerry, Carol Boisvert, Valerie Fowler, Jacques Dubois, Nicole Clark, Helen Knowles, Raymond Mastine, Collette Pageau, Lucie Beaudin and Jean-guy Millot.

The grocery box was won by Elizabeth Blouin.

The Ladies Auxiliary would like to take this opportunit­y to thank everyone that helps set up and unset the Hall, putting everything back in order and a big thank-you to all that help with the lunch and a huge thank-you to all that donate door prizes. Much appreciate­d!

This being our last card game till fall we hope everyone has a nice summer and we’ll see you in September. Thank you for all your support!
