Bulwer Golden Age

On May 1, 66 members gathered at the Bulwer Community Center.

Bingo and 4 tables of 500 were played, as well as 1 table of Cribbage and 2 teams of carpet bowling.

Everyone assembled for supper. Grace was said by Norma Gill. Another wonderful meal prepared by Peggy Grapes and helpers, consisting of roast beef, potatoes, gravy, squash, green beans, caesar salad, homemade rolls and pickles. This was topped off by chocolate pie squares.

Keith thanked George Martel for calling out the bingo and Darlene Rogers for assisting.

Results of cribbage were Richard Coates and Keith Vintinner beat Linda Coates and Colleen Matthews by 89 points.

Cleveland W.I. honours 25-year member

Winners of 500 were Marion Annesley and Stan Brown; second place was Ilah Batley and Clayton Lackie; Jean Lackie and Clyne Macdonald coming in last.

Results of carpet bowling: Jean Naylor and James Andrews beat Doris Coates and Pat Decoteau 13 to 6 and then Doris and Pat beat Jean and James by 10 to 6.

Half and half winners were Richard Coates, Claudette Waite, Clyne Macdonald, Helen Taylor and Linda Coates.

Peggy’s goodies were won by Blair Donnachie, Madelyn Betts, Amy Husk, Keith Vintinner and Blair Donnachie once more.
