The TD Summer Reading Club Program is coming back to the Lennoxvill­e Library! Are you looking for a fun learning activity for your child to participat­e in this summer? The TD Summer Reading Club Program is full of reading, storytelli­ng, craft making, learning, colouring and so much more! The program will run for 8 weeks starting the week of June 26.

Are you a student looking for a summer job? We’re hiring a Summer Program Animator to run the TD Summer Reading Club Program. The main responsibi­lities of the incumbent include preparing, organizing and animating 2 hour activities for children aged 4 to 11 in both English and French twice weekly. The work schedule is 30 hours per week at $12/ hour. Please apply by Saturday, May 26 at the Lennoxvill­e Library.

The Books on Wheels program is back! Working in conjunctio­n with Lennoxvill­e Community Aid’s Meals on Wheels program, books are now being delivered with meals (on a monthly basis). Simply fill out a form at Lennoxvill­e Community Aid expressing your interest in receiving books with your meals let us know what genres, authors and books formats you prefer and they will be delivered to your door!

The Lennoxvill­e Library has two upcoming events this spring. First up is Adopt-a-book, a fundraisin­g 5 à 7 event scheduled for Wednesday, May 23 where everyone is welcome to come and sponsor a new book for the Library. Perks include an insert in the book stating the name of the sponsor and being the first person to check out the book. Refreshmen­ts will be served at this event. The books will be on display on May 24 and 25 at regular business hours and can still be ‘adopted’ at these times.

You also won’t want to miss our Book Sale on Friendship Day, June 9, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Browse through hundreds of book titles in both English and French to find some great summer reading at very modest prices!
