he Brome-missisquoi MRC has launched its ‘Objectif Brome-missisquoi ‘photography contest this Friday, June 21. The competition will take place over a one-year period from summer 2018 to spring 2019. As part of its new 2018-2020 cultural agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Communications, the MRC wants to take advantage of its scenery and a number of projects will be developed in the coming years to make it shine.
The region is known for its remarkable landscapes. Elected officials are interested in the protection and the development of the majestic scenery.
The contest is a first step towards raising awareness among the population of the many treasures in the Townships.
The MRC wants to know where the public’s favorite landscapes are and those which best represent the whole of Brome-missisquoi, from Farnham to Saint-armand, from Bromont to Frelighsburg, or from Sutton to West Bolton.
Residents or visitors are invited to submit their most beautiful photos of urban, rural, tourist, heritage, or natural landscapes in any of the four seasons.
In order to reward the most beautiful images transmitted, there will be one drawing each season. The first period will run from June 21 to September 21, 2018. Participants have the chance to win one of three prizes: A guided tour for two of the Brome-missisquoi Wine Circuit by Kava Tours, four Mt. Sutton Ski tickets, or four passes to the Bromont Water Park.
