Beaulne Museum celebrates local artists

- Record Staff

The Beaulne Museum is presenting the 6th Edition of the: “Salon des artistes locaux et régionaux.“The grand opening of the exhibit will be held on Sunday, July 15, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the exhibit will be on display until September 2.

The “Salon des artistes locaux et régionaux” is a biannual exhibition solidly anchored in the local and regional cultural calendar. Always a great success, it promises to delight art lovers of all kinds again this year. As usual, the local art group Coatic'art will occupy a special space inside the Museum as will several other artists from across the Eastern Townships. Featured artists will be on hand to help make the event a celebration of creativity and diversity.

Some forty artists will take part in the exhibition using a wide range of mediums such as: painting, sculpture, engraving, photography, stained glass, ceramics, textiles, etc. The artists will be present at the vernissage so the public can exchange with them and better understand their sources of inspiration and the messages conveyed by the works on display.

The Ministry of Culture and Communications as well as the City of Coaticook support the Beaulne Museum financially.

Special thanks go to the Caisse Desjardins des Verts-sommets de l’estrie for their financial contribution.
