He was absent from Saturday's game at the Amédée-roy stadium against the Montreal Brewers.

On Saturday night, the Expos were doubled 10-5 by the Blue Sox at Thetford Mines.

The Sherbrooke team came out swinging, taking the lead 1-0 and 2-1 in the first two innings. Luis Argumedes, the second batter of the match, sent a shot from starting pitcher Jonathan Paquet into net out in left field.

Tanguay’s hit struck the Expos pitcher, Sam Greene, in the abdomen. He crashed down heavily while the game was still going on. Douglas Toro relieved the injured pitcher, who was warmly greeted by the spectators when he got up. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured.

Sunday night, the defending champions of the Major League Baseball League of Quebec, the Beavers of Acton Vale, were the visitors at the Amédée-roy stadium and they left with a 9-6 victory, to the dismay of most of the 286 spectators.

After seeing the Beavers score three points in the opening set, Eddie Lantigua reduced the gap to one point with a two-run homer.

The visitors led 9-2 when Sherbrooke scored four points at the end of the sixth inning. Bruno Laurin hit a ball towards the shortstop player, Gabriel Thibodeau, and that ball made its way to right field. The last two points of the Expos in the match were scored on that hit followed, by an error.
