NORTH HATLEY

The Rotary Club of the Boundary is sponsoring a dinner and concert on July 14 at the Piggery. The Hi-fins, a British tribute band, will be playing. They came last year to the Piggery and no one left disappoint­ed. The Hi-fins play a fastpaced concert of music from the sixties made famous by the British bands (and a few others). At 6:00 that evening Boundary is sponsoring a barbecue dinner by Billy Lidstone. Admission charged. For reservatio­ns you can call 819-842-1940. BURY

Welcome to our Open House at the Bury United Cultural Center, Sunday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as part of The Heritage Tour. This tour is initiated by the Bury Historical and Heritage Society in which heritage buildings in Cookshire and Bury open their doors with activities to welcome you. At the Bury Cultural Center you are invited to explore this beautiful building, see the antique lectern made by Pope and Cowan, enjoy our permanent ‘Denis Palmer painting exhibition’, buy a ‘soup and sandwich’ for lunch; exchange some books - bring some, take some; buy some fresh vegetables or baked goodies and pick up a treasure or two.
