Diapason offers palliative care and support training
Diapason, an organization in Bromont working with people with chronic degenerative disease, caregivers, end-of-life and bereaved people, is offering training sessions (in French) on palliative care and support.
This training, based on the Quebec Albatross Movement program, is aimed at the general public, future volunteers, healthcare professionals and anyone interested in the subject or who wishes to be there for a loved one.
The program aims to help potential and current caregivers explore their perceptions and emotions about life, suffering and death; gain specific knowledge about the needs of people at the end-of-life, to develop relationship skills; and acquire skills in end-of-life care;
Training sessions:
Friday, August 17, (8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Saturday, August 18, (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Tuesday, August 19, (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) The cost for each session is: $125 (check made out to: Équipe accompagnement au Diapason)

It is recommended that participants bring their own lunch. There is a refrigerator and a microwave on site.
