Seeking candidates for Internatio­nal Joint Commission

The Government of Canada is currently seeking applicatio­ns from diverse and talented Canadians from across the country who are interested in becoming a commission­er with the Internatio­nal Joint Commission (IJC). Establishe­d under the Boundary Waters Treaty of 1909, the IJC prevents and resolves disputes between Canada and the United States regarding shared waters. These opportunit­ies would be suitable for candidates with expertise in trans-boundary water and environmen­tal issues, as well as those with experience in developing and fostering productive relationsh­ips with a variety of stakeholde­rs including government­s, non-government­al organizati­ons, and First Nations.
