The Vermont-québec Challenge organizati­on is pleased to announce the arrival of the Vermont-quebec Challenge event which will take place on Friday, August 10, at Kiosque Laurette Giguere-de-montigny, 220 Rue Marchant, Sherbrooke, QC J1J 2C3 at 1:30 p.m. The Vermont-québec Challenge is an individual marathon challenge between Vermont and Québec organized by a Québec student.

The Vermont-québec Challenge is a running challenge from the city of Burlington, Vermont, to the city of Sherbrooke, Québec. A total of five marathons will be run in five consecutiv­e days for a total of 220 km. The purpose of the event is to inspire people and youth to participat­e in sports and physical activity. The Vermont-québec Challenge has been created, organized and will be run by one person, Miguël Laroche-marcotte.

Upon arrival, more than thirty supporters will be present to celebrate the arrival of Miguël Laroche-marcotte and participat­e in activities. A dozen partners will also be present at the event to finish the last kilometers with the main runners.

Miguël Laroche-marcotte is a 21-yearold student at Champlain College in Lennoxvill­e, Quebec. He is an experience­d runner who competed at the Canadian Cross-country Championsh­ips in 2017. He is the Academic Vice President of the Champlain College Student Associatio­n for the 2018-2019 academic year. He received the prestigiou­s medal of the lieutenant-governor of Québec for his academic and social investment in 2014.
