Missisquoi North Volunteer Centre financial campaign continues

- The Scoop Mable Hastings

The Missisquoi North Volunteer Centre (CABMN) launched its Annual Financial Campaign in July and thanks to contributions from supporters, the organization is off to a great start in reaching its goal. This year as an extra initiative, from April to August names of those who contributed were put in for a draw that was held on August 11 for prizes donated in support. Daniel Maheu won the two tickets to the see the band, Chicago at the Bell Centre in Montreal donated by Terry Dimonte at CHOM FM. Sally Croker won the autographed gift basket donated by mystery author, Louise Penny and Howard Heitner won the beautiful pottery bowl donated by Robyn Badger (Down To Earth Pottery). Big congratulations to the winners and an even bigger thank you to those who donated prizes and all who have contributed thus far to the campaign.

The CABMN is pleased to announce a second round of prizes and the names of those who donate from August 12 through to mid December will be entered into a draw for: a large digital photo frame donated by a private donor, two spa tickets and a prize donated by Rival Boxing in Montreal. Other prizes may be added and are welcome in support of the effort to help the CABMN reach their annual goal of $30,000.

Funds raised through the Financial Campaign, unless specified, are a part of the general funding to the organization to help with all programs offered. The programs offered include those supporting seniors, youth, the intellectually and physically challenged and more… Funds can also be donated in Memory of a friend or loved one or to commemorate a special occasion (birthday, anniversary…).

Donations to the organization can be made via the website through Canada Helps at www.cabmn.org or you can send a donation to the Missisquoi North Volunteer Centre at 314B Principale, Mansonville, Quebec J0E 1X0. All donations of $20 or more are eligible for a receipt for income tax purposes. Any and all donations are much appreciated.

The CABMN (formerly Citizen Advocacy) has existed for over 35 years and continues to support the communities in the Western Sector of the MRC Memphremagog.
