TBCN Staff
he population of the MRC of Brome-missisquoi will be getting a postcard in the mail which will allow them to take part in a draw for $500 by answering three questions about universal accessibility. They will be able to deposit postcards at all participating pharmacies and at the Cowansville Canadian Tire.
To highlight actions of the Brome-missisquoi Physically Disabled Persons Association (APHPBM) to promote universal accessibility, the competition has been organized as part of an awareness campaign under the honorary presidency of Réjean Trottier. Owner of the Cowansville Canadian Tire, trottier has partnered with accessible pharmacies in recent years to allow Brome-missisquoi residents to participate in the draw.
With 10 years of dedicated service in defense of the rights of the physically disabled and the development of universal accessibility in the MRC of Bromemissisquoi, the APHPBM wants to demonstrate the full extent of the work done in our municipalities, because already 600 places of business, services, and public places are identified as accessible, thanks to the cooperation of municipalities.
The (APHPBM) has chosen to develop a new graphic and advertising approach to continue to promote universal accessibility through collaboration with students of Richard Leclerc, a lecturer in the Communication Department of the Université de Montréal.
The campaign is for the entire population of Brome-missisquoi.
The entry period will run from Nov. 1 to 20.
The draw will take place at APHPBM premises on Dec.3 at 11a.m. in the presence of Honorary President, Réjean Trottier, as part of the International Disabled Persons Day.
