Maria looking for a new home

Book now

In a week or two, even the festive music will be starting on the radio stations and we will know, Christmas is right around the corner. We, over here at Blue Seal, have to start preparing for the holidays early, with the store and with getting ready to welcome in all our Christmas friends who will stay with us while their families are travelling for the holidays. We have already received many reservations and if you will need a spot, you really should call soon as we usually are full early and have to turn people away. If you will need to leave your dog with someone you know will take very good care of them for the holidays, call 819-348-1888 soon to book a bed at our well known dog hotel.

Auctions galore

We have received a large amount of donated items for our on-line Facebook auctions coming up. So much so that I have had to find and make more room to keep it all. We greatly appreciate any and all donations, but we ask that you do not donate clothes or items that are broken or too soiled. Many people have come to look forward to our auctions, which help us tremendously to care for all our homeless animals, but they do come with a large amount of work to conduct, so please donate accordingly to avoid more work. All items that we do not accept for our auctions are reboxed and brought to Estrie Aide. We do not have room for large items. Donations for the auctions can be dropped off during business hours and again, thank you to everyone who helps us with donations to help us raise money, as well as to everyone who bids on the items. We hope to have a next auction on line by the latest Monday and we will need to do a few before the holidays in light of the items that have been donated. Thank you.

A reminder

We are quite unique. Sometimes, it can get confusing for people who are interested in adopting an animal because while the store is in the public eye, adoptions are done by appointment only. We wish our store was bigger and we could do both at the same time, but since I must work many hours in the store to keep it open and since we depend greatly on all sales in the store to feed and care for all our animals, the store and its business must come first. Our cats that are read for adoption can be seen daily between 9 am and 4pm as they have a specially constructed room just for them in the store area. People are more than welcome to come and visit them; whether to possibly adopt or just for much needed kitty therapy as many do. But, our dogs are not in the store area. They have the entire bottom floor of the building and since strangers would have to physically walk through all of our daycare area to visit with them, which is not permitted so to keep any foreign germs away from daycares and avoid upset in the daycare pack, our dogs for adoption must be brought up one at a time. All of our dogs for adoption are on our Facebook Page; The Pet Connection Lennoxville. Their photos are in the album called Dogs For Adoption. Interested families can visit the page and read the animals’ descriptions. If you are interested in meeting one of the dogs, you can come to the store between 10 am and 4 pm (outside of meal times) during the week and ask to take that dog for a walk. If you are interested in possibly adopting that dog after the initial meeting, then an interview is scheduled and the procedure continues from there. Our employees who work in the store are not all informed of all related to the animals, which is why questions can be made on the Facebook page to me, or all questions can be answered during the interview period. If we win the lotto, we will construct a huge establishment which will make shopping for pet items and visiting with animals for adoption more convenient, but until that happens we make do with what we have. Thank you for your cooperation.
