Children warmly clothed for winter

- Record Staff

The Lac des Nations Children's Foundation will hold its winter clothing event for underprivileged children in the Sherbrooke area on Wednesday, Nov. 7, starting at 10 a.m. at the CPC store in Sherbrooke.

This year, 120 students from various Commission scolaire de la Région-desherbrooke schools will be dressed by the Foundation for Children, from head to toe for the winter. For the twelfth year, the Foundation has made it its mission to dress underprivileged children in the Sherbrooke area school board for the winter. Snow suits and winter accessories will be given to every little one in need.

This initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Commission scolaire de la Région-de-sherbrooke, CPC Sherbrooke and Transdev Limocar

"Transdev Limocar is proud to participate in the children's winter clothing program for Estrie organized by the Lac des Nations Children's Foundation in collaboration with CPC Stores,” said Transdev Director General Guy Beauchesne. “Our contribution is to transport children in luxury passenger buses between their schools and CPC stores on the day of the event every year since the beginning of the Foundation. Two of our drivers, our training inspector, and some of our administrative staff accompany and transport the students in two Prevost passenger buses and a Mercedes minibus."

Each child will be welcomed by volunteers and will leave with their warm clothes after having a snack at the store.
