Our ladies met in our church hall on October 15. There were five members and two guests.

The meeting opened with the repetition of the Lord’s Prayer led by Fran Shaw.

Mary Lechasseur, secretary read the minutes of the meeting held on September 15. Claire Hobbs gave us the financial report. Business under discussion – Claire reported that the window replacement in the rectory was under way.

The final planning for our soup luncheon took place.

Next up for discussion was our anniversary service on November 3. Bishop Mary will be here to celebrate with us.

A service of Holy Communion will take place at 2 p.m. followed by an afternoon tea prepared by the Guild.

We are hoping to meet on Wednesday, October 29 to set up the hall.

Tea money and Flower Fund money were collected from our members.

Carol service will be on December 2. Fran Shaw adjourned the meeting. A delicious lunch was prepared by Claire Hobbs. Thank you Claire.

All Saint’s Guild Dunham Soup Luncheon

A successful soup luncheon was enjoyed by many people on a beautiful fall day.

Early birds came and shopped at the bake table as well as at the new-to-you table.

At 12 o’clock Claire Hobbs welcomed everyone, and asked Peter Riordan to say the blessing. People then gathered around the buffet table for their choice of soup. We enjoyed a new soup – cream of broccoli, corn chowder, chicken, pear and vegetable beef.

The tables looked lovely, decorated for the autumn season.

Door prizes of squash and apples were won by Martha Dudley, Velma Symington, Barbara Harvey and Elizabeth Harvey. Congratulations

Following the meal, cards were played during the afternoon. Prizes went to Anita, Lisette, Christiane and Arlene.

Thank you all for coming.
