The Garden of Magic Lanterns

early 200 lanterns decorated by members of the community will light up Coldbrook Park in the heart of Knowlton this coming Saturday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. kicking off the traditional Midnight Madness event in the village.
The lanterns were decorated by our schools; Knowlton Academy, St Edouard School, the daycare center La Passerelle des Mousses, the 9-12 Club and more than 50 participants during two workshops offered at the center of recreation and community services.
The lanterns from the 2017 edition that withstood their first exhibition will be installed with the ones created this year.
The lanterns will remain on display every evening until Sunday, Jan. 6.
The organizers Isabelle Daval and Sylvain V. Bolduc would like to encourage the sharing of the most beautiful pictures of the lanterns by by adding a photo contest to this edition.

Since 2006, the Knowlton in Light Festival has transformed the village with its bright decorations and for the 13th year, Lucy Hoblyn organizes the traditional Midnight Madness with the collaboration of the businesses in the village.
Come to Coldbrook will host outdoor activities, and visitors can sip a glass of spiced wine or a cup of hot chocolate, visit the Magical Lantern Garden as well as artists and artisans markets and shops, while enjoying Christmas carols and a sleigh ride.
Painter Isabelle Daval will host the 3rd edition of her Christmas market from Dec. 8-23 2018 in her studio-gallery, Hors-cadre, 320 Knowlton Road.
The opening hours are Wednesday to Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Dec. 8, the gallery will be open until midnight.
