Magog Fête des neiges celebration continues this weekend
After a busy first weekend with hundreds of festival-goers taking part, Magog’s Fête des neiges continues its 25th anniversary celebration at Merry Point Park this weekend, Feb. 9 and 10.
Sports and animals will be central to the celebrations along with bubble football, cardio on snow, the pony carousel, and the long-awaited return of cart rides. In addition, ice sports enthusiasts will be able to sharpen their skates for free before embarking on the scenic ice trail.
In addition, during these last two days of the event, it will be possible to enjoy the Ferris wheel, tube slides, and inflatable games. Various other activities including zumba classes are also on the menu. Visitors will also be able to meet mascots and warm up at the Uniprix "Petits Flocons" stop.
The traditional fireworks, an explosion of colors on beautiful Lake Memphremagog will take place on Saturday at 6 p.m. This magical show will be preceded by a lively musical performance by Les Kick Ball Change.
Full details of event scheduling are available at www.fetedesneigesdemagog.com as well as on the Fête des neiges de Magog Day Facebook page.
Municipal regulations prohibit animals at Merry Point Park.
