he Brome-missisquoi-perkins Hospital Foundation has announced the 4th edition of the BMP Oktoberfest. The event will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Chalet du lac de Bromont, montagne d’experiences, and will be a festive and gourmet evening. The honorary co-presidents of the event, Dr. Michèle Lucey, Emergency Physician at the BMP Hospital and Mr. Louis Désourdy, president of Excavation Désourdy invite you to mark this date on your calendar. Tickets are on sale on the BMP Foundation website.
A modernized Emergency
Thanks to the success of the 2018 edition and a Major Capital Campaign, the BMP Orthopedic Clinic began its renovation process several months ago. Located on two floors, on the ground floor and in the basement, the work will allow, among other things, to triple its surface area and provide more privacy for patients. The opening is scheduled for January 2020.
This year the BMP Hospital Foundation aims to exceed this amount to invest in the purchase of new equipment for the Emergency Department. These acquisitions will provide better service to patients in the Emergency Department with a focus on continuous improvement at the BMP Hospital.
Microbreweries at the event
Oktoberfest would not be complete without beer and sauerkraut. Three local microbreweries will once again be part of the event: Le Brouemont (Bromont), Les Brasseurs de West Shefford (Bromont) and À l’abordage (Sutton). For his part, Marcel Picard, owner of “Saucisson Vaudois” will be in the kitchen preparing his delicious sauerkraut topped with sausages. The traditional German music group “The Wanderers” will perform throughout the evening.
