4th annual fundraiser for Massey-vanier Athletics on Saturday, Sept. 21 on Brome Fair Grounds
Brome Fair is over but the grounds are not idle. On September 21 the fourth annual Fundraiser for Massey-vanier Athletics will be held there. Activities begin at noon. The Cantine Brome Fries open from noon to 10 p.m. Pete Kirby will be hosting a pig roast from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All will pay fifteen dollars for the meal except for children 8 years of age and under, who will pay ten dollars. If you buy your ticket before the day of the event, you will be entered into a draw for Montreal Canadiens’ tickets.
Many people and businesses have donated items for a silent auction. There will be a special photo booth and a dunk tank. There will be a joust and a petting zoo. To further entertain the children there will be bouncy castles. Viking gear, sporting the MV team logo, will be available for sale.
As far as music goes, there will be two bands and a disc jockey. Shady Past will be playing at 2 p.m. and Leadville Union will be playing at 8 p.m. In between DJ Jerk will be handling the music needs.
