There’s a new exhibition roaming around
Get ready Clevelanders and all Saint-denis-de-brompton residents as the Le Val, toute une histoire! Tournée patrimoniale Desjardins roaming exhibition will soon be coming your way.
Organized by the Héritage du Val-saint-françois in collaboration with various partners, such as Caisse Desjardins du Val-saint-françois, Bull’s Head, Exo-s, and the Clinique dentaire de Richmond, the Le Val, toute une histoire! exhibition recognizes the landscape and the rural, domestic, industrial, commercial, and religious aspects that make up our heritage.
There will be six banners dedicated to each of these aspects and each take into consideration different pieces of architecture that hold significant heritage value in the MRC area.
In collaboration with the Comité culturel de Saint-denis-debrompton, there will be an inauguration for the exhibition, taking place on Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. at the Le Stardien arena. The banners will then be made available to the public to view during the Journées de la culture 2019 up until Sept. 29.
The exhibition will then move to Cleveland at the Wales Home on Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. The public will have access to the exhibition at the Wales Home until Oct. 22 before it is moved back to Stdenis-de-brompton, where it will take its place in the library from Nov. 12 to 16.
The exhibition will travel to all 18 municipalities that make up the MRC region, it has already covered Richmond, Windsor, Valcourt, Lawrenceville, Ulverton, and Saint-claude, and will until run until the year 2022.
This project was funded by the MRC’S le Fonds d’initiatives culturelles and organized on part of the various volunteers of the Héritage du Val-saintfrançois. Their role as an organization is to protect the heritage value of the region and to make people aware of this heritage.
Take the time to get to know what the region has to offer. You never know what you’ll come across!
